Health Workforce

CPME Rapporteur: Dr Jacques DE HALLER (CH)
CPME Secretariat: Mr Dimitri EERENS

The health workforce is a fundamental to successful health policy. High quality healthcare is delivered in complex teams of health professionals who each make their unique contribution to the best care for each patient. To achieve this, doctors in every Member State must have access to the best possible training, can rely on safe working conditions and be adequately staffed. These objectives must inform health workforce planning, and recruitment and retention policies. CPME is engaged in academic, policy and professional discussions to contribute towards shaping sustainable health workforce policy for the future.
