Annabel Seebohm today leaves her position as CPME Secretary General following six years in the role.
On 1 June she will take up the position of Secretary General of COCIR, a European trade association representing the medical imaging, radiotherapy, health ICT and electromedical industries.
Prior to joining CPME in May 2016, Annabel was head of the Brussels office of the German Medical Association (GMA) and legal advisor in the joint legal department of the GMA and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (NASHIP). From 2007 to 2016 she was also general counsel of the World Medical Association (WMA).
Annabel said “It has been an honour to serve European doctors for the past six years. I dearly thank the CPME members and colleagues for their trust, support, encouragement, excellent cooperation and also for the enjoyment working for and with them.”
Christiaan Keijzer (CPME President) said “Annabel has served with dedication, grace and remarkable capacity to further the voice of European doctors and professionalise the work of the Secretariat. She leaves our association in a strong position to continue our mission to ensure a strong and independent medical profession in Europe.
“In addition to her work at CPME she served the medical profession with distinction for 18 years and leaves many friendships and good memories. We wish her much success in her new professional challenge.”
